Yin yoga is a deeper practice, characterised by the longer holding of each posture (asanas), varying from between 2 to 5 minutes. The selected asanas direct their action beyond superficial muscles, and focus more on deep stretching and connective tissues such as ligaments, bones, fascias, and even joints that cannot be stimulated by a more active yoga style (hips, pelvic floor and lower spine). Yin yoga is mild and deeply energizes the body, revitalizes the organic functions and induces and introspective and meditative state. A perfect addition to the more active yoga practices that will allow you to pause and refocus. Suitable for students of all levels.
